1. Overview
I Love Dog Pics periodically hosts themed photo challenges where registered photographers can submit photos and the community votes to select winners. These Official Rules ("Rules") apply to all challenges hosted on ilovedogpics.com and supplement our Terms of Service.
2. Eligibility
- You must have a registered photographer account on I Love Dog Pics
- You must be at least 13 years of age (18 in jurisdictions where required)
- Challenges are open to photographers worldwide unless otherwise noted
- Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of I Love Dog Pics operators are not eligible to win prizes but may participate for fun
No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law.
3. How to Enter
- Submit a photo through the photo submission page during the challenge's submission period
- Your photo must match the challenge theme as described on the challenge page
- Each photographer may submit up to the number of entries specified for each challenge (typically 1-3 per challenge)
- Submitted photos must comply with our Terms of Service and be your own original work
- Entries are subject to our standard content review process, which includes AI-assisted screening
4. Submission Period & Voting
- Each challenge has specific submission open and submission close dates displayed on the challenge page
- After submissions close, a voting period begins during which site visitors can vote for their favorite entries
- Each visitor may cast one vote per entry per challenge
- Vote manipulation (including using multiple accounts, automated voting, or soliciting votes through deceptive means) is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification
5. Winner Selection
- The entry with the most votes at the end of the voting period is the winner, unless otherwise stated
- In the event of a tie, co-winners will be recognized
- We reserve the right to disqualify any entry that violates these Rules or our Terms of Service
- Winners will be announced on the challenge page and may be featured on our homepage and social media
6. Prizes
If a challenge offers prizes with a retail value exceeding $600 USD, winners will be notified of any applicable tax reporting requirements. No prize substitution or cash equivalent is available unless otherwise specified.
7. Photo Rights
By entering a challenge, your photo is subject to the same license grant described in our Terms of Service (Section 4). You retain full copyright ownership. Challenge entries may be featured in promotional materials highlighting the contest and its winners.
8. Conduct
Participants agree to:
- Submit only their own original photographs
- Not engage in vote manipulation or fraudulent behavior
- Treat other participants and their work with respect
- Accept the results of the challenge as final
9. Disqualification
We reserve the right to disqualify any entry or participant for:
- Violation of these Rules or our Terms of Service
- Vote manipulation or fraudulent activity
- Submitting photos that are not the entrant's own work
- Any conduct that undermines the fairness or integrity of the challenge
10. Limitation of Liability
By entering a challenge, you agree that I Love Dog Pics and its operators are not responsible for any technical failures, lost entries, or other issues beyond our reasonable control. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or cancel any challenge at any time if circumstances arise that compromise its integrity.
11. Privacy
Information collected through challenges is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Winner names and photos may be publicly displayed on the Site and our social media accounts.
12. Governing Law
These Rules are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved as described in our Terms of Service.
