How to report copyright infringement and our procedures for handling takedown requests.

Our Commitment to Copyright

I Love Dog Pics ("we," "us," or "our") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and respond promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement.

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content on I Love Dog Pics infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our Designated Agent. Your notice must include the following information (per 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g., a link to the original work or a description)
  3. Identification of the material on our site that you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g., the URL of the page where the image appears)
  4. Your contact information, including your name, address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

Please use "DMCA Takedown Notice" as the subject line of your email for fastest processing.

Our Response

Upon receiving a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:

  1. Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material as expeditiously as practicable
  2. Notify the uploader that the material has been removed and provide them with a copy of the takedown notice
  3. Log the notice for our records and repeat-infringer tracking

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error or is not infringing, you may file a counter-notification with the following information:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it previously appeared
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original takedown notice

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10 to 14 business days, we may restore the removed content.

Repeat Infringer Policy

We maintain a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat copyright infringers. A user who receives two or more valid DMCA takedown notices may have their account permanently terminated at our sole discretion.

Good Faith / Misrepresentation Warning

Please be aware that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. Please do not make false claims.
