Our Mission

I Love Dog Pics is a non-profit community project with one goal: to build the most beautiful collection of professional dog photography, organized by breed. We believe every breed deserves to be represented by stunning, real photographs taken by talented photographers like you.

This is not a stock photo site. We don't sell images. We don't use them commercially. We simply celebrate great dog photography and give credit where it's due.

Copyright & Usage

You retain full copyright to every image you submit. By sharing a photo on I Love Dog Pics, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it on ilovedogpics.com and to use it in promoting the I Love Dog Pics project (social media posts about the project, etc.). Your images will never be sold, licensed to third parties, or used for any commercial purpose.

Every photo displayed on the site includes a permanent credit overlay with your name (or business name). Your profile page links to your website, Instagram, and other online presence. We want to drive traffic to you, not away from you.

How to Contribute

  1. Create Your Account
    Register with your name, business info, and links. This only takes a minute and you won't need to re-enter info for future submissions.
  2. Find a Breed
    Browse our collection of 290+ breeds. Look for breeds marked "Wanted" that don't have real photos yet, or add more photos to breeds you love.
  3. Upload & Crop
    Upload your photo and use our interactive crop tool to frame it perfectly. Choose from square, portrait, or landscape orientations.
  4. Submit for Review
    Confirm your copyright attestation and submit. We review submissions within 24-48 hours. Once approved, your photo goes live with full credit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I submit photos of mixed breeds? ▶
Yes! If the breed you're looking for isn't in our list, you can suggest a new one. We welcome community and designer breeds. Just use the "Suggest a breed" option on the submission form.
How many photos can I submit per breed? ▶
You can submit up to 3 photos per breed. We encourage photographers to cover as many different breeds as possible rather than submitting many photos of the same breed.
Can I remove my photos later? ▶
Of course. Just log into your dashboard and click the delete button on any submission. It's instant — no need to contact us. Your copyright means you're always in control.
Do I need to be a professional photographer? ▶
While we focus on professional-quality images, you don't need to be a full-time professional. If you take great dog photos with proper lighting, focus, and composition, we'd love to see your work!
What happens after I submit? ▶
Submissions are reviewed within 24-48 hours. You'll receive an email when your photo is approved or if we have feedback. Approved photos go live on the breed page with your credit immediately.
Will my photo be watermarked? ▶
We apply a small, tasteful watermark with your photographer credit during upload. This protects your work while keeping the focus on the photography. Your name also appears as a visible credit in all gallery views.
